Salvage Crews Continue BRIDGEPORT Operations

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla -Monday, the crew working offshore departed the boat ramp early on CAPT. TIBB. Onboard the BRIDGEPORT, the crew was continuing the stripping of starboard voids #3 & 4. Work on the bow section of the barge continued in preparation for connecting the tow bridles for the planned rotation.
Onboard the FARRELL 256, the crew fabricated a support and chafing gear system for the pneumatic hoses that will span the cargo hopper during the pressurization phase of the port voids.
CAPT. TIBB worked throughout the day, transferring personnel and supplies. The STEPHEN DANN and THOMAS DANN will remain on location tonight.
Tuesday, the crew will return to the BRIDGEPORT to continue dewatering the starboard voids. Refinements to the salvage plan will be finalized and provided for review.
Global's salvage masters and the captains of the tugs STEPHEN DANN and THOMAS DANN will go over the plan for the rotation of BRIDGEPORT.
